Dessie Lee McWhirter

(Lancaster) Dessie Lee McWhirter, 98, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00 P.M., Mt. Tabor AME Zion Church, Rev. Dr. Michael Peay will officiate, Burial in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Monday, March 11, 2019 from 1:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M., Crawford Funeral Home .

Dessie Lee McWhirter, a daughter of the late Roy McIlwain and the late Lula Foster McIlwain was born September 1, 1920 in Lancaster County, South Carolina.

Survivors include, one daughter, Delcenia McWhirter Byers of Lancaster, SC, grandson, Phillip Byers, Jr of Lancaster, SC.

Crawford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
