Annie Ruby Sanders

 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

     Annie Ruby Sanders, humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Lancaster, South Carolina.  A daughter of the late William Raymond Sanders Sr. and the late Ebbie Davis Sanders was born May 23, 1937 in Van Wyck, South Carolina.

    Annie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of North Corner AME Zion Church where she accepted the duties as a responsible member.  She truly loved God as well as her church family.

She was retired after many years from owning her own cleaning business, she was very passionate about cleaning which came naturally.

  Annie had a caring soul with a lovable spirit.  She found peace in cleaning in which she was excellent in doing.  Annie always demonstrated a beautiful smile that she often displayed and greeted people with, especially when they visited the home.  She enjoyed hosting family events in which she would prepare the entire meal. A loving mother, grandmother and strong woman of faith that held her family and many others together she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  

    Left to cherish these and other memories are three sons, James Sanders, Eric Sanders, Robert Sanders (Gloria) all of Lancaster, SC, three daughters, Margaret Clyburn of Monroe, NC, Ann Leak (Willie) of Wingate, NC, Barbara Curry (Micheal) of Lancaster, SC, five brothers, Jerry Sanders, James Sanders, Robert Sanders (Mary Ann) all of Lancaster, SC, Randy Sanders (Beatrice) of Covington, GA, John Sanders of Charlotte, NC, five sisters, Jeanette Watts of Covington, GA, Linda Green of Lancaster, SC, Margaret Sanders of Lancaster, SC, Teresa Young (Jerome) of Lancaster, SC, Yvonne Sanders of Charlotte, NC, twenty three grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Sanders, Robert Richardson, five sisters, Neveda Hayden, Lottie Sanders, Dianne Sanders, Billie Ann Massey, Hattie Massey, and best friend Emma Lee Reid
