Antuana “Ant” Demarcus Anthony, 37, of Lancaster, South Carolina peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday May 3, 2025. Ant was born on February 4, 1988, in Rock Hill, SC, he was the beloved son of Shirley Tucker and Johnny Anthony. He was educated in the Lancaster County School District. Until Ant started dealing with his injury with his leg and foot he worked at Guardian Glass in Richburg, SC. Growing up Ant was a member of Centennial AME Zion Church under the leadership of his great uncle Rev. Albert Tucker.
A true sports enthusiast, Ant loved cheering for his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Ant was a son, brother, uncle, and cousin to many. Left to cherish his memory are his parents Shirley Tucker and Johnny Anthony both of Lancaster, his two son’s Jousha Anthony of Rock Hill and Knowledge Anthony of Columbia, Grandmother Queen Patterson of Monroe NC, four sister’s Devon Tucker, Lakeisha Anthony from Lancaster, Jonquetta Anthony from Orangeburg, and Jamacia Anthony from Pineville, two brothers Rev. JaQuavis Tucker, Johnny Anthony both of Lancaster, seven aunts Tammy Patterson, Lisa (Earl) Cunningham, LaTora Hood, Darlean White, Katie Osborne, Margaret Anthony all from Lancaster and Veronica(Andre) Rivers from Monroe NC, six uncles Brennan Patterson, James Ross, Kendall (Sherry) Patterson, Demond Anthony, Billy Anthony, Kenny Anthony, from Lancaster one great uncle Rev. Albert (Cornelia) Tucker of Heath Springs, Special Friend Leianca Josheph, Closes Friends: Yukia Grier, Javon Twitty, Quinterius Clinton, and Darrly Davis.
Ant’s legacy will continue to live through the people that he came in contact with. Ant had a host of nieces and nephews whose life he touched. From asking them to come ride with him to McDonalds and be all over Lancaster to giving them money when they needed it.
Ant is preceded in death by his grandmother Mae Frances Anthony, grandfather Richard Anthony, aunt Melvina Izzard, uncle Dennis Anthony, sister Chabrittany Anthony, Grandfather James Ross, aunts: Jean Ross, Daphanie Tucker, cousins:Lamario Myers, and Jewel Ross.
