Baxter Brown entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A son of the late
Edward Lee Brown and the late Burnez Moses Brown was born January 6, 1950 in
Lancaster, South Carolina.
Baxter accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Hope Baptist Church.
He was united into holy matrimony to Sharon Tucker Brown for many loving years.
Baxter was educated in the Lancaster County School System and received his high
school diploma from Barr Street High School. He worked as a Cement Finisher for Brown
Brothers Concrete Finishers.
Baxter loved being outdoors. He enjoyed watching the Animal Planet and teaching his
grandchildren about different species of animals. Baxter loved to dance, sing, and watch
westerns. His loving personality made room for no stranger, in which he never met one.
He brightened every room he walked in and would bring out a smile in anyone.
Especially when he was at Myrtle Beach singing his favorite tune, “Under the
Boardwalk”. Most of all Baxter enjoyed spending time with family and friends. To know
him was to love him and he will be dearly missed.
