Beneco PaTroye Harris, affectionately known as "Shine", was born on August 10, 1974, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late Johney Gainey and Lucille Harris Gainey. He departed this life on October 11, 2025, at The Medical University in Lancaster, South Carolina.
Beneco was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School.
He was employed as a Machine Operator with The Building Center, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and reliability.
At an carly age, Beneco accepted Christ and was affiliated with United Bibleway Church of Lancaster. He lived a life of faith and humility and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
On his journey through life, Beneco was united in holy matrimony to Shaunta Fraizer Harris, and together they shared a loving bond built on faith, laughter, and mutual respect.
"Shine" enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and a contagious smile that lit up every room. In his spare time, he loved watching football and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include his devoted wile, Shaunta Fraizer Harris of Lancaster, South Carolina; two daughters, Necyah Harris and Zaria Miller, both of Fort Mill. South Carolina; one son, Lamonta Roberts of Lancaster, South Carolina; his loving mother, Lucille H. Gainey of Lancaster, South Carolina; six sisters, LeTrail Blackmon (Milburn), Shalisa Fraizer (Marcus), Sharika Harris, Paula Hunter, Angela Coleman, and Alethia Harris, all of Lancaster, South Carolina; five brothers, Reco Walker, Albert Turner, Fred Wade, Donnie Harris (Sanda), all of Lancaster, South Carolina, and David Harris Jr. (Bridget) of Kannapolis, North Carolina. He is also survived by aunts, Lisa (Ronnie) Harris, Vernell Crawford. Joann Wade, Donna Alexander, and Agnes Foster, all of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Reta Jones of Tega Cay, South Carolina; one uncle, Clarence Alexander of Lancaster, South Carolina; twenty nieces, twenty-five nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johney Gainey.
