Brenda Joyce (Mackey) Evans, 79, of Lancaster, SC. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was born on July 24, 1946, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late James C. Mackey and the late Creola White.
Brenda was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School. She worked faithfully for many years at Springs Hospital until her retirement, where she was known for her dedication and care.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a devoted member of Kingdom of God Church International. Brenda lived her life with faith, love, and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She found joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, talking daily with her sister, and being surrounded by her loved ones. Her laughter, wisdom, and warm spirit will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: five sons, Ezell Johnson of Seattle, WA, William Evans (Barbara). Anthony Evans, Reco Evans, and Marcus Evans, all of lancaster, SC; two daughters, Toiya Witherspoon (Apostle Howard Witherspoon) of Lancaster, SC, Lawanda Evans(Tike) of Gaston, SC; a sister. Regina Mackey (Willie) of Lancaster, SC; a brother, lames White of Lancaster, SC; twenty-one grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces , nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joanne Johnson, two brothers, Clarence Mackey, Jr, Danny R Henderson.
Brenda's life was a true testament of love, strength, and family.
