Carleton Reed Criss

Mr. Carleton Reed Criss, age 62, departed this life on June 12, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1964, in Tokyo, Japan, to the late Robert W. Criss Sr. and the late Mary Mungo Criss.

Carleton was educated in the Lancaster County School District and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hardworking and dedicated man whose hobbies included fishing, working on outdoor projects, and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and creating lasting memories with those he loved.

He was united in marriage to Tanya Reid Criss.

Carleton leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife, Tanya Reid Crissof Lancaster, SC, one daughter, Latasha Criss (Jermaine Sanders) of Lancaster, South Carolina; four sons, Cisco Clark of Georgia, Jamal Pickett of Union City, Marciano Hough(Ashley Fish) of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Damarion George of Lancaster, South Carolina; two brothers, Robert Criss Jr. (Kimberlynn) of Smyrna, Georgia, and Tim Criss (Cheryl McQuillar) of Dallas, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Ethal Lee; eight grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Carleton was preceded in death by those loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.

His life, love, service, and devotion to family will be cherished forever by all who knew him. Though he has departed from this earthly life, his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.
