Charlie "Coon" Frazier Jr., 74, entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2026. He was born on January 31. 1952, to the late Doretha Hood and the late Charlie Frazier Sr.
Charlie was a faithful and dedicated member of North Comer AME Zion Church, where he served diligently on the Trustee Board, the Men's Choir, as custodian, and as kitchen coordinator. His commitment to his church reflected his servant's heart and his love for his community.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School system and attended Barr Street High School. Charlie was self-employed and the proud owner of Frazier's Car Wash. He had a remarkable gift for detailing vehicles and was highly talented in his craft. His work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect and loyalty of many customers throughout the community.
Affectionately known as "Coon" by family and friends, Charlie was known for his kind spirit and generous heart. He was a great cook who found joy in preparing meals and feeding his family. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team. Charlie was also known for staying connected—always calling to check on family and friends, making sure everyone was doing well. His thoughtfulness and genuine care for others will forever be remembered.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: one daughter, Leanna Prince of Charlotte, NC, two sisters, Mattie Coffey of Lancaster, SC, and Elaine Frazier of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Jerry Frazier of Bennettsville, SC; a special aunt, Annie B. Anthony; a special nephew, Rodney Frazier of Lancaster, SC; three grandchildren, Joshua Prince, Isaiah Samuels, and Tatiayanna Samuels, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Zeb Frazier
