Chiquita Denorris George, 40, of Lancaster, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Born on January 7, 1985, in Lancaster, she was the beloved daughter of the late Kassandra Blaine George. Chiquita was of the Apostolic Faith and a devoted member of the United House of Prayer for All People. She faithfully served her church in many capacities, including General Secretary, member of the Adult and Youth Choirs, and as a dedicated servant on numerous boards such as the Nurses Board, Band, Maid Board, New Generation, and Usher Board, to name a few.
Chiquita received her education in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School. She furthered her studies at York Technical College and later attended the Truck Driver Institute, where she obtained her certification in commercial driving. With a strong passion for logistics and transportation, she was employed by JB Hunt as a truck driver, a career in which she excelled and took great pride.
Chiquita had a joyful spirit and loved attending church functions. She enjoyed participating in various recreational activities including softball, basketball, track and field, bowling, marching band, shout band, and singing. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, often playing around just to bring smiles, laughter, and happiness to those she loved.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters: Kya E. Lipscomb, Kayla M. Williams, and Kenya A. Williams; six aunts: Betty Stover of Philadelphia, PA; Special Aunt Brenda George of Lancaster, SC; Ophelia G. Waiters of Philadelphia, PA; Wanda G. Ray (Apostle Ronnie Ray) of Lancaster, SC; Carmen George of Lancaster, SC; and Tangic G. Stevenson (Morris) of Lancaster, SC; three uncles: Otis C. George III (Aracelis) of Philadelphia, PA; Charles George of Greenville, NC; and Joel George of Lancaster, SC; and a host of special cousins including Yvette George, Teresa Wright, Onessa G. Tucker, Monty Hood, Shay Canty, and Derrick McIlwain..
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Otis C. George and Willie Mae George, as well as her special cousin Marvin McIlwain.
Chiquita will be remembered for her bright smile, her unwavering faith, and her love for family and community. Her legacy of service, joy, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
