Collie Lynn, son of the late David and Lottie Lynn was born September 13, 1944 in Kershaw, South Carolina. He answered God’s call at Kershaw Health in Camden, South Carolina on February 13, 2020.
Collie was educated in the Kershaw County School District. He was employed by the late Carl Robinson in the pulpwood industry for many years.
Collie was a faithful member of the Flat Rock Baptist Church. He accepted Christ as his personal savior. Collie accepted the responsibility of serving as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Usher Board, and a member of the Altar Guild. He loved his church and his church family.
Collie embraced life and was a loving man, sweet spirit and had a generous heart. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. In his pastime he enjoyed watching all sport activities and knew the rules and regulations. He also loved listening to Gospel music. To know him was to love him and he was loved by many.
Left to cherish loving memories are a niece Yvonne Knox of Kershaw, SC, a nephew, Willie L. Knox of Kershaw, SC, a great nephew that he loved very much and reared as a son, Damonte Knox of the home, brother-in-law, Dudley Barr of Long Island, NY, a host of nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousin other relatives and friends’
He was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
