Darlisha Tenelle McIlwain, 43, of Lancaster, SC, departed this life on March 12, 2025. Born on October 29, 1981 in Lancaster, SC, she was the beloved daughter of Darlene McIlwain and Neil Bufford.
A proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Class of 1999, Darlisha pursued her passion in the medical field, dedicating her career as a pharmacy technician at St. Francis Hospital. She was also a driven entrepreneur, co-founding Two Sistas and a Bucket, a business that reflected her ambition and dedication.
Darlisha was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding her greatest joy in the love of her children and grandbaby. Her presence was as radiant as her sense of style—she was a true fashionista, always dressed with elegance and confidence. She had a love for music and dancing, embracing life with vibrance and joy. Time spent with friends was precious to her, and she filled every moment with laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
Darlisha leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Though her physical presence will be missed, her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Darlene McIlwain (Al Stinson) and Neil Bufford (Teresa)all of Lancaster, SC, her cherished children, daughter, Diquanity Boyd, son, David Boyd both of Lancaster, SC, four sisters, Millie Brown of Lancaster, SC, Tonya and Shonda Frazier of Lancaster, SC, Cashawn Hood of Charleston, SC, three brothers, Jay McIlwain, Neil Truesdale, Alex Ayden all of Lancaster, SC, paternal grandmother, Dorothy J. Truesdale of Lancaster, SC and agrandchild, Ure Anthony of Lancaster, SC, special aunt, Melissa Truesdale of Lancaster, SC, god daughter, Emerald, special friends, LaSonya, Sade, Sharika, Shameka, Shennell, Moaneak, and a host of family and friends who will continue to honor her memory.
