Demarcus Jermaine Massey departed this earthly world and entered eternal rest on
Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at MUSC in Lancaster, SC. Demarcus leaves behind a legacy of
love, laughter, and a profound dedication to family. Demarcus was born on June 12, 1985, to
Craig T. Davis and Denise Massey Davis in Lancaster, South Carolina.
Demarcus was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age and attended
First Washington Baptist Church.
Demarcus was educated in the Lancaster County School System and received his high school
diploma from Lancaster High School. Demarcus was a true outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed
watching his favorite team the San Francisco 49ers. However, his favorite pastime was
spending quality time with his family and friends.
Demarcus was a devoted father, a cherished friend, and a pillar of strength to those who knew
him. To know him was to love him and he will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish loving memories are two sons, Ny’Jarian Duncan, Royal Nesbit both of
Lancaster, SC, a daughter, Israel Massey of Lancaster, SC, five sisters, Lasheika Massey of
Lancaster, SC, Katrese Blackmon of Lancaster, SC, Latia Blackmon of Charlotte, NC,
Kasheena Mullins (Kevin) of Lancaster, SC, Candace Hancock of Fort Lawn, SC, two brothers,
Russell Massey (Tasha) of Great Falls, SC, Tyquarius Clyburn of Lancaster, SC, special friend,
Traneisha Nesbit and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lakeitta Massey, paternal grandparents, JC Lowery,
Mattie B. Davis, maternal grandparents, Sonny Hagwood, Betty Massey, maternal stepfather,
John Robinson.
