Diana Louise Woods Williams, 71, entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2025, in Lancaster, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.
Diana was born on January 19, 1954, in New York City to the late Lonnie Woods and the late Martha Theadora Pfeiffer. She received her education in New York and was a proud graduate of Forrest Hill High School. She later continued her studies at the Institute of Jersey City Practical Nursing Program, where she trained in the field of nursing, a profession well-suited to her caring and nurturing spirit.
Diana was a devoted member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Beautification Auxiliary. She took pride in creating warm, welcoming spaces and enjoyed working alongside her church family.
Diana had a gentle, artistic nature and a love for creating beauty with her hands. She enjoyed cooking and baking delicious meals and treats, knitting and sewing thoughtful gifts, coloring, and gardening. Whatever she touched, she made better, and her presence brought peace and warmth to every room she entered.
She was united in marriage to Carol O. Williams, and together they shared many dedicated and loving years.
Left to cherish her precious memories are two daughters: Edrisa L Hyland-Ford (Michael) of Philadelphia, PA, and Waynette D. Harris of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren, Dominique Woods, Kendle Harris, Ralph Hyland, Kristen Jones, Michael Ford, and LeAna Parker; and a very special cousin, Lynn Houston, along with a host of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janie L. Woods.
Diana will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
