Domingo Dijon Champion
Obituary
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:13)
Life is a journey back to God. Domingo began his life’s journey on August 28, 1986 in Lancaster, South Carolina, a son of Vanessa Champion and the late Anthony F. Duncan. His Journey ended and he went back to God on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Atrium Health Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Domingo attended the Lancaster County School System and Aiken High School where he played basketball. He played baseball several years for the Lancaster County Recreational Center. He worked for Clarence and Sons Lawn Care.
“Redd”, as he was affectionally known, always had a smile on his face and brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and close friends. He will be missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish loving memories is his mother, father figures Robert Belk of Lancaster, SC and Humphrey Drakeford (Sharon) of Kankakee, IL, two brothers, Antionio Duncan and Stephno Drakeford both of Lancaster, SC, Paternal grandparents, Robert and Loretta Duncan of Lancaster, SC, one nephew Chayse Drakeford of Lancaster, SC, special friends Savannah Mills and Sandra Elder of Lancaster, SC and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
