Mrs. Doris Hubbard Watson of Lancaster entered into rest on May 14, 2026. Born on November 23, 1947, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Hubbard and Hattie Mae Tillman Hubbard.
Mrs. Watson was a devoted member of Camp Creek AME Zion Church and a proud graduate of Barr Street High School. She retired from Springs Industries after many years of dedicated service.
Doris was united in holy matrimony to Donnell Watson, who was truly the love of her life. They were inseparable and enjoyed spending time together wherever they went. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family, especially laughing and sharing special moments with her sisters and spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son, Keith Watson (Maria) of Lancaster; five sisters, Minnie Hubbard, Carrie Giddings, Lovie Hubbard (Freeman), Betty Hayden, and Brenda McManus (Thomas), all of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Watson; granddaughter and devoted caregiver, Mercedes Wade; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Troy Watson, two sisters, Elizabeth Montgomery and Sarah J. Gray; and three brothers, William Hubbard, James Hubbard, and Jeff Hubbard.
Mrs. Doris Hubbard Watson will be lovingly remembered for her warm spirit, her deep love for family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
