Douglas Antonio Hayden Jr., humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. A son of the late Douglas Alexander Hayden Sr and Clara Jean Thornwell Hayden was born December 12, 1970 in Lancaster County, South Carolina.
Doug was reared in a Christian environment and never met a stranger.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a graduate of Buford High School in Buford, SC. Doug was a talented roofer and operated his own business with his construction skills.
He was passionate about everything he did. Doug was a very caring gentleman. He loved testing his luck and was fortunate to win more then he lost playing lottery. However, his greatest passion was spending time with family and friends. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all.
Left to cherish loving memories are his four sons, Dionte’ A Hayden of Pageland, SC, Damajae A. Hayden, D’Marius A. Hayden, Douglas A. Hayden all of Lancaster, SC, his mother, Clara Jean Thornwell Hayden of Lancaster, SC, two sisters, Corinthia Hayden (Keith McIlwain), Tameca Hemphill (Issac) both of Lancaster, SC, two brothers, Fredrick Reid (Michelle) of Lancaster, SC, Shawn Cureton of Waxhaw, NC, three grandchildren, special friends, David Boyd, Marcus Thigpen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
