Dr. Patricia Taylor Obituary

Dr. Patricia Adams Taylor on February 16, 2024 received her heavenly degree. She completed
her earthly studies and graduated to a higher place. Her final days were spent at PMC and
Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC surrounded by her devoted family, as a result of
challenging health issues.
Patricia was a true woman of God, a gifted teacher and encourager to many; an intellectual
mind, an intense thinker. She loved all things about the word of God and obtained numerous
degrees in biblical studies, counseling, BA, (Better Covenant Bible College) A Masters and a
Doctorate in Theology from Oral Roberts University while facing ongoing health issues. She
continuously pursued knowledge, which she skillfully shared with so many. Even while lying in
the hospital, she requested her laptop, so that she could complete her thesis for her final
doctorate. Under the word fortitude, I’m absolutely certain her name is written. God uniquely
gifted her to make a difference wherever she went, and that she did to the very end.
She was an ordained minister and the co-founder of Lifeline Ministries in Lancaster, SC with her
now deceased husband, Pastor Richard A. Taylor. Together they were an awesome and
inspiring team. Her warmth and kindness were always evident, and its impact was life altering
to those in search of love, spiritual insight, and acceptance. She overcame many of life’s hurdles
and kept her joy and perspective.
She was born December 12, 1957 to the late James Edward and Mae Lewis Kee Adams in
Lancaster, SC. . She was the sixth child in their family of eight. She graduated from Indian Land
High School in 1975 and attended York Technical College, where she received academic honors
for the Dean’s list in 1977-78. She was adventurous, hospitable, loved to cook and garden
flowers. She was computer savvy, enjoyed vacations to the beach, and her unique dress style
was always accentuated with bling, purple lipstick, and colored nails.
Her greatest loves were her children, grands, and great grandchildren. Her eyes danced with joy
when they were anywhere around. She was “Mimi Trish “ to them and all that were any way to
connected to them. She often spent time cooking with them, playing games and teaching them
without making it a boring experience.
Survivors include her children, Evangelist Patrick (Constance) Taylor, Minister Kevon (Torey)
Taylor, Whitney Foster, and Shannon Foster-Izzard. A Stepson, Richard Stewart. Grandchildren:
