It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dylon Sincere Truesdale, 15, of Columbia, SC.
Dylon was born on May 15, 2009, to Ms. Rodrica Reid and Mr. David Truesdale.
He departed this life on December 16, 2024.
Dylon was a student at Westwood High School in Richland County, where he was known for his love of basketball and his passion for gaming. His bright spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Rodrica Reid and David Truesdale; his sister, Londyn, and his brother, Kyng. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Deloris James of Columbia, SC; paternal grandparents, Willie and Judy Truesdale of Heath Springs, SC; one aunt Jacqueline Reid of Lexington, SC; four uncles Brandon James of Columbia, SC; Johnte Patterson of Lancaster, SC; Willie Truesdale, and Brandon Drakeford of Heath Springs, SC;
Godparents: Devin Clinton and Tara Isler. and an abundance of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
Dylon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rodney Reid; maternal great-grandparents, John and Odessa James; paternal great-grandparents, Oscar Kilgo and Calvin and Pauline Reid; and uncles, Jonathan Reid and Antwon Truesdale.
Dylon's life was a gift to us all, and his memory will forever remain in our-hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
