Elizabeth Green Williams peacefully entered eternal rest at her home in Lancaster, SC, on June 29, 2024, at the age of 76.
Elizabeth, a daughter of the late Sonny Green and the late Mary Ann Belton was born on December 27, 1947 in Westville, South Carolina.
Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the usher board and choir. Her deep commitment to her faith and her church family was a cornerstone of her life.
Elizabeth was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Hillside High School in Lancaster, SC,
Elizabeth was united in marriage to James Williams, and together they built a loving family with one son and three daughters. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Elizabeth was a dedicated employee of the Lancaster County School District, where she made a positive impact on countless lives. In addition, she was a talented caterer and the proud owner of Liz's Catering Service. Her culinary skills were renowned, and she found great joy in bringing people together through her love of cooking.
In her leisure time, Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, solving word puzzles, and taking trips to the salon to get her hair done. Elizabeth lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication to her family and community. Her warm smile, kind heart, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, James Williams; her loving children, Kelvin Maurice Green of Lancaster, SC, Jackie Green (Aaron) Curry of Lancaster, SC, Patty Green (Lionell) Barnes of Columbia, SC, and Tawanda Kay (Melvin Lee) Sowell of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Joseph Eugene Green of Lancaster, SC; two sisters, Mary Elaine Jones of Lancaster, SC and Sheron Maxine Blackmon of Simpsonville, SC; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Jerry Green and Paul Green; and three sisters, Rosette Green, Lucille Ford, and Bertha Rochelle Green.
