FRANK JUNIOR BUCHANNON

Frank Junior Buchannon, humbly bowed to God’s will and entered into eternal rest on
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Lancaster, SC. A son of the late Jadie Buchanon and
the late Wilma Hood Buchanon was born April 13, 1939 in Monroe, NC.
Frank Junior was converted at an early age and was attending the Antioch Baptist Church
in Blackstock, South Carolina.
Frank Junior was married to Priscilla Buchanon for many blissful years and she preceded
him in death.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a retired truck driver
for many years in which he loved to drive.
Frank Junior embraced life and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and doing
woodwork projects. His passion was loving his family especially hanging with his
grandchildren. Soft hearted yet strong willed he was the perfect mixture. He will be
greatly missed. To know him was to love him and he was loved by many.
Left to cherish fond memories are four daughters, Annette Buchanon, Kathy McIlwain
(Randall), Maxine Garris (Bobby) all of Lancaster, SC, Sheri Cunningham of Detroit,
MI, four sons, Frank Wayne Buchanon (Mary) of Monroe, NC, Dale Junior Buchanon
(Patricia) of Lancaster, SC, Bernard Buchanon (Tammie) of Lancaster, SC, Patrick
Cunningham of Detroit, MI, sisters-in-law, Delores Buchanon and Nicky McIlwain,
twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, special
friends, Tony Watts, Robert Gibson, Rev. Long, Freemon Heath, Melvin Cathcart and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gavin Bernard Cunningham, two brothers, Fred T.
Buchanon, Jerry McIlwain, two sisters, Mary Frances Caksey, Bobbie Jean Buchanon.
