George Douglas White Jr., affectionately known as
"Duck," entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2025. Не was born on November 26, 1961, in Lancaster, SC, to the late George Willie White and the late Mary Elizabeth Reid White.
George was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School. A man of talent and vision, he was en entrepreneur and a skilled carpenter, well-known for bis saying, "If you want it done right, call White." Rig craftsmanship, work ethic, and integrity left a lasting mack on the community.
He was a faithful member of David Stand AME Zion Church, where he served diligently as Chairman of the Trustee Board. George was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Lincoln Lodge #162.
In his spare time, "Duck" enjoyed fishing, cooking, cheering for his beloved Oakland Raiders, and sharing laughter with family and friends. His joy for life and warm spirit brought people together, and he will be remembered for the way he loved and valued his relationships.
George leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Patsy Belton White of Great Falls, SC; his daughter, LaQuesha White of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Kathy White of Lancaster, SC; three brothers, Curtis White (Felicia) of Chester, SC, Chris White (Elaine) and Mark White (Kida), both of Lancaster, SC; his mother-in-law, Virginia Jones; three brothers-in-law, Timothy (Tamara) Belton, Thomas Jones, Willie (Tanya) Jones, four sisters-in law, Gwen Jones, Tammi (Jake) Price, Sherel (Walter) Chambers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret White Belk, and a number of beloved uncles and aunts.
George's life was one of service, laughter, hard work, and love-—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
