Harry Brown, humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into
eternal rest on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his residence. A son of the
late Robert Simpson Harper and the late Odessa Brown was born October 2,
1946 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
“Sonny” as he was affectionally called was reared in a Christian environment
and accepted Christ as his personal savior.
He was united in holy matrimony to Laura Brown for many years who
preceded him in death.
Sonny was educated in the Lancaster County School District and attended
Hillside High School. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired
from the Department of Public Housing as a Building Maintence Technician.
He was a passionate man. Kind yet strong willed he brought peace to every
situation. Sonny was very talented with his hands especially designing small
projects. However, his greatest passion was spending time with family and
friends. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all.
Left to cherish loving memories are a daughter, Jessica Brown Gilmore (Neal)
of Aiken, SC, two sons, Curtis Brown of Catawba, SC, Michael Brown
(Shakira) of Jacksonville, Fl, two sisters, Josie Harleston (Jimmy) of
Summerville, SC, Gail Crawford (Ronnie) of Spartanburg, SC, two brothers,
Willie Brown (Carrie) of Rutherfordton, NC, Joe Brown of Lancaster, SC,
nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
