Helen Hilton, age 92, peacefully entered into eternal rest, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Kershaw, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jack Hilton and the late Rose Lee Blackmon.
A devoted and lifelong member of Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Helen faithfully served in numerous roles including the Usher Board, Missionary Committee, Kitchen Committee, and Sunday School. Her dedication to the Lord and her church community was unwavering. She was also a proud member of the Happy Hearts, where she enjoyed fellowship and encouragement among fellow senior members.
Educated in the Kershaw County School District, Helen went on to work as a Dietary Aide at Springs Memorial Hospital. Her warm and nurturing spirit extended beyond the workplace, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Helen was known for her sweet demeanor, her strong faith, and her giving heart.
Helen found joy in life's simple pleasures-baking for her loved ones, reading her Bible, and solving crossword puzzles. Her home was always filled with warmth, the smell of fresh baking, and open arms for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles D. Hilton and Chuck J. Hilton; two brothers, John T. Hilton and Roy L. Hilton; and two sisters, Ada L. Hilton and Betty Sue King, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hilton
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Richard A. Hilton of Lancaster, SC, and Douglas R. Hilton (Ziva) of Fort Mill, SC; two daughters, Doris Jean Hilton and Darlene Hilton, both of Lancaster, SC; a daughter-in-law, Melvenia Jones; twelve grandchildren; Temicka Fraizer, O'Shay Hilton, Deziah Hilton which was reared in the home and Timothy Hilton, Latasha Mingo, Crystal Benson, Demario Hilton, Nikita Hilton, Melaine Hilton, Douglas Hilton Jr., Ryleigh Hilton, Raelyn Hilton, thirteen great-grandchildren, Jaquarius Hilton reared in the home; special nieces and nephews, Susan Watson, Gloria Phillips, Russell Stevens, Crawford Hilton, her special friends, Martha Stevens and Artimisha Foster; and her devoted caregiver and daughter, Doris Jean Hilton.
Helen Hilton's legacy is one of unwavering faith, love of family, and joyful service. She lived a life of grace, laughter, and purpose—a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those she loved.
