Genesis Karina Brown was born on April 5, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Diamond Brown and Christian Avant. She peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Though her time on earth was brief, Genesis filled each day with love and light. She attended Fort Jackson Child Development Center, where her sweet and happy spirit shined brightly, Genesis was a loving baby whose beautiful smile could light up any room. She had a gentle spirit and joyful presence that touched everyone blessed to know her. She brought immeasurable happiness to her family and will forever be remembered as a pure soul, a precious gift, and an angel gone too soon.

Genesis was preceded in death by her grandmother, Gloria Katrina Brown, and her great-grandmother, Robbie Ealcy Catoe.

She leaves to cherish her everlasting and loving memory her devoted mother, Diamond Brown; her father, Christian Avant; her three sisters, Gracelyn Brown, Zaria Avant, and Taylor Avant; her grandfather, Devon Peire Ealey of Lancaster, South Carolina; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Genesis will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
