Infant Joseph Messiah Howze, affectionately known as "JoJo," gained his heavenly wings on November 1, 2025, in Monroe, NC. He was born on April 3, 2025, to ShaQuetta Drakeford and Dondrako Howze.
Joseph was born in Christ and brought joy from the moment he entered this world. Though his time here was brief, his presence left an everlasting impact on all who knew him. He delighted in playing with his mobile and toys and loved watching his favorite Disney programs, especially Mickey Mouse, Bluey, and Paw Patrol. His smile was bright, contagious, and filled with pure innocence. Joseph was truly a bundle of love, joy, and sweetness.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his parents, Dondrako Howze of Lancaster, SC, and ShaQuetta Drakeford of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Dondrako Howze, Jr. of Lancaster, SC; four sisters, Destini Howze, Deniya Howze, Jaziah Howze, and Jayce Howze; grandparents, John and Onatha Drakeford, and Tonya Hughes (Dennis); great-grandmother, Mae Belle Drakeford; godparents, DeAngela Harrison and Tarica Brown; and a special family friend, Elaine Baxter. He is also survived by a host of cousins, extended relatives, and family friends who loved him deeply.
Joseph was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Crawford, great-grandparents Johnnie and Lillie Belle Crawford, Preston and Wilma Blackmon, and Rev. James Drakeford.
Though he was only here for a moment, Joseph’s light will continue to shine forever in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered as a precious gift from God, a ray of sunshine, and a reminder of love in its purest form
