James Antwan George, affectionately known as “Skint,” departed this life on December 23, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1979, to Jeanette George and the late James Earl Hood.
Skint was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud graduate of Lancaster High School. He was formerly employed by Springs Industries.
A man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, Skint loved watching football and was a devoted Washington Redskins fan, now known as the Commanders. He also had a passion for playing pool and grilling, often sharing good food and laughter with those around him. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His presence, humor, and love will be deeply missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Jeanette George of Lancaster, SC; stepfather, Garrett Ballard of Lancaster, SC; one son, Shykwon McCullough of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Deja Patterson of Lancaster, SC; six sisters, Tomekia Brown (Jovon) of Lancaster, SC, Tamesha George (Jovone) of Belmont, NC, Vanity George, Kisha Green, Chenika Hood, and Keisha Ealey (Marcus), all of Lancaster, SC; eight grandchildren; life companion, Sarah Truesdale of Lancaster, SC; special friends, Sharon Kilgo and Arthur; along with a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katie Mae George Clyburn, a nephew, Tywon Kentae Wilson and an uncle, Thorney George.
James Antwan “Skint” George will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
