James Cecil Watts Jr.

Mr. James Cecil Watts, Jr. was born on January 26, 1962, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late James Cecil Watts, Sr. and the late Mary Alice Funderburk Watts. He departed this life peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 63.

James was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a proud 1979 graduate of Lancaster High School. Following graduation, he continued his education at York Technical College, where he earned a degree in Welding.

James was known for his easygoing personality, his love for family, and his strong work ethic. He enjoyed good company, laughter, and the simple joys of life.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory three daughters, Shakota Crawford of Lancaster, SC, Yamonee Watts of Tallahassee, FL, and Samiya Watts of Columbia, SC; three sons, James Watts I!! of Cleveland, OH, Markees Watts (Camila Yumi Kamiya Garcia) of Tampa, FL, and Qutelleon Watts of Columbia, SC; one sister, Lynda Watts Lockhart of Charlotte, NC; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his kind and caring spirit.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James Cecil Watts, Sr. and Mary Alice Funderburk Watts.
