Jason McMullen Shannon, humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into
eternal rest on Friday August 19, 2022 in Lancaster, South Carolina. A beloved son of
Mack Harrison Shannon and Veronica Elaine Barnes was born May 8, 1979 in
Darlington, South Carolina.
Jason accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was reared in a
Christian home where he attended St. John Baptist Church. He participated in the
youth choir, Sunday School and plenty of church youth and young adult activities.
Jason was employed by Hughes Auto Group and was a great Auto Detailer for many
years.
He was educated in the Lancaster County school district where he was a gifted wrestler.
Jason was a 1998 graduate of Lancaster High School. He embraced life and was an
avid Fisherman. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing every chance he
could get. His passion was automobiles whether it was detailing or repairing them.
However his greatest passion was family. To know him was to love him and he was
loved by many.
Left to cherish loving memories his Parents, Mack Harrison Shannon and Veronica
Elaine Barnes Shannon of Lancaster, SC, three sons, Ja’Mir Shannon and Lebron
Shannon both of Lancaster, SC, Messiah Shannon of Rock Hill, SC, Five daughters,
Melicia Threatt Shannon, Madison Threatt Shannon, Taylor Threatt Shannon, Jayla
Shannon, Trinity Shannon all of Lancaster, SC, One brother, S. Christopher Shannon
(Logan) of Lancaster, SC, three uncles, Robert E. Shannon (Ruth) of Lancaster, SC,
Theodore H. Barnes (Terry) of Rock Hill, SC, Wellington C. Barnes of Lancaster, SC,
two aunts, Ramona B. Pate (Levy), Therithia B. Youmans both of Lancaster, SC,
Special Friend, Daondry Barber of Lancaster, SC and a host of aunts, Uncles, Cousins
and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal grandparents, S.M. Shannon and Lillie Cureton,
Maternal Granparents, E.W. Barnes and Helen Hodges
