Jeffrey Lynn Jones

Jeffrey “Lynn” Jones was born on December 26th, 1962 in Lancaster, South Carolina to the late Louise “Mutt” Jones and the late Curtis Jackson.
Jeff was raised in Heath Springs, SC and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1981. There he excelled in both sports and academics and earned a full athletic scholarship to attend Clemson University. Jeff was a 4-year standout at Clemson, where he played football and led the ACC in track and field, while qualifying for the US Olympic team trials finals in the long jump. He later joined the Dallas Cowboys roster. After his athletic career, Jeff attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX where he received his MBA.
Jeff moved to Atlanta, GA in 1992 where he jumpstarted his solo career as an independent agent for college funding. He then moved into the financial planning industry where he launched his own company. His passion for serving others and commitment to hard work shaped his great success in his professional journey.
Jeff enjoyed life to the fullest and found joy in traveling the world, playing competitive tennis and racquetball, capturing memories in photos, cooking, and spending quality time with loved ones and friends. He never met a stranger and was a mentor to both the youth and the community. Jeff’s greatest loves were being a follower of Christ, and being a devoted and loving dad to his children. His legacy of faith, leadership, and love will live on through all who were blessed to know him.
Jeff leaves to cherish his loved memories, his 5 daughters, Joi, Ashia, Keji, Hannah, and Alaia; and 2 sons, Joshua and Seth; 5 sisters, Barbara J. Eaddy, Cynthia J. Crockett, Robin J. Smith (Charles), Shonda Jones, and Natasha Jackson; 6 Brothers, Larry L. Jones (Regina), Mark “Dewayne” Jones, Bryan E. Jones, Ronald Jackson (Julia), Lawrence “Duck” Jackson, Franco Jackson (Shakena); one brother in law, Gerald Pearson; one uncle; 2 aunts; special love, Crisnelsa Ulloa Grullon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Peggy J. Pearson, Michael Jackson, and Curtis Lee Jackson Jr.
