Jelani Jackson

Jelani Amir Jackson, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away at
the age of 18. Jelani was a bright light in the lives of everyone who
knew him, known for his infectious laughter and his remarkable ability
to bring joy to those around him. His humor and positivity were a gift to
his family and friends, creating countless cherished memories.
Jelani had a deep love for sports, finding joy in both playing and
watching. His enthusiasm was matched only by his affection for dogs,
whose companionship brought him great happiness.
His loving family, who will remember him not only for his humor and
spirit but also for the warmth and kindness he shared with everyone.
Jelani’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be
cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jelani is survived by his mother, Nyisha Curry of Lancaster, SC, his
father, Julius “Duke” Jackson, four brothers, Zion Gales of Virginia,
Marley Crosby of Charlotte, NC, Kasey Crosby of Charlotte, NC, Sean
McCray II of Lancaster, SC, five sisters, Jahlia Seegers, Jahmillah
Jackson, Sierra McCray, Sky’la Martin, Shaniya McCray all of
Lancaster, SC, maternal grandparents, Hattie Curry, Elizabeth Curry
both of Lancaster, SC, paternal grandparents, Richard Melton, Willie
Jackson both of Lancaster, SC, god-mother, Melanie Carter of
Lancaster, SC and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a god -father, Sean McCray Sr.
