Joe Nathan Limous, 80, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, in Charlotte, NC. He was born on August 30, 1944, to the late Ellen Limous and Lee Massey. He departed this earthly world surrounded by his family & loved ones.
Joe lived a life characterized by joy, peace, and love for his children. He was known for his humor and being the biggest fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He touched the lives of many with his kindness and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Wilma Limous;
Four daughters: Joan Davis, Yvonne Limous, Tammy Limous, and Debbie Limous;
Four sons: Nathan Limous, Michael Limous, Donald Crockett, and Bandreka Mackey; One sister: Philathia Stewart; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins and friends, all who will continue to cherish the memories of his love, wisdom, and enduring spirit. A special caregiver, Sandra Blackmon.
He is preceded in death by eleven brothers:
Marshall Lymus, Sylvester Lymus, Edward Hood, Tom Massey, Jim Massey, Claud Massey, Marvin Massey, Iria 'Nig" Massey, Wilton Massey, David Lee Massey, Edward Massey; Three sisters: Maggie Campbell, Dorothy Clyburn and Lillie Tillman.
