John F. Evans

John Fitzgerald Evans peacefully entered the gates on October 5, 2023 in Lancaster, SC.  He was the son of Benny K. Crockett  and Shirley Ann Pelham Evans born July 24, 1964 in Lancaster, SC.

John was reared in a Christian home where he joined St. Paul AME Zion Church.

John went to Lancaster High School and was in the Class of 1982.  He was employed by Bowers Fibers as a dedicated employee until his retirement.

John was a die-hard Raiders fan in which he enjoyed watching the sport of football. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends that he loved dearly.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Left to cherish loving memories are his son, John TrivellPrince of Lancaster, SC, a daughter, Corissia LaKatherinPrice of Rock Hill, SC, his mother, Shirley Ann Evans ofLancaster, SC, his father, Benny K. Crockett (Lillie) of Charlotte, NC, two brothers, Benny “June” Crockett, Dennis Crockett both 0of Charlotte, NC, two sisters, Ruth Stewart (Rayford) of Lancaster, SC, Shirlon Hurd (Galen) of Rock Hill, SC, four grandchildren, Isaiah Kirkland, Jalishia Prince, John Trivell Prince, Jr., Isabella Campbell,God parent, Edna Foster, special friends, Arnold “Fitze” Thompson (First Cousin), Tiesha Elder and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Coleman, brother, Gerry Covington, grandparent, Ruth McGriff, Step-father, Robert Pelham
