Joyce Hord was born January 8, 1952 in Kershaw, SC.  She humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 5, 2024 in Lancaster, South Carolina. Joycewas the daughter of the late Mary Baker Snead.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was dedicated to doing the will of God for the remainder of her life. She was married to James Hord who preceded her in death.

Joyce was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School in Kershaw, SC.Joyce was a past member of the Lancaster County Moose Lodgeand was retired as co-owner of Hord Trucking Company.

Joyce believed to fully heal, one needed to be of service to others.  In order, to keep our peace and serenity, you have to be willing to give it away and share with another person.

Joyce loved giving back to others in whatever way possible. Her home was always open and she gave from her heart. She loved being GiGi to her fur babies. Joyce loved creating memories with friends and laughter was always guaranteed with Joyce. She was loyal and compassionate while always living each moment to give back to someone else.
