Mr. King David Williams, 79, entered eternal rest on February 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 23, 1946, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, he was the beloved son of the late King David Williams and the late Olivia Moore Williams.
King was a faithful and devoted member of Unity Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a Trustee. He was honored as a Father of the Church. His strong faith and commitment to his church family were cornerstones of his life.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School District and graduated from Hillside High School Class of 1966. He later continued his education at Midland Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina.
King proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his tour in Vietnam, he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to jazz music, dancing, and most importantly, spending cherished time with his family and friends. His warm spirit, wisdom, and love will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: two sons, Amin Williams (Nickasha) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lateek Williams of Albany, New York; two brothers, John Thomas Williams of Kershaw, South Carolina, and Kim Edward Williams (Niki) of Durham, North Carolina; seven sisters, Jennifer Cary (Jimmy) of Kershaw, South Carolina; Mammie Williams (Howard) of Lancaster, South Carolina; Arlene Fair of Kershaw, South Carolina; Judy White (Bobby) of Kershaw, South Carolina; Linda Price of Kershaw, South Carolina; Rev. Johnnie Mae Reed of Kershaw, South Carolina; and Jacqueline Olivia Williams of Kershaw, South Carolina. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two beloved godchildren, Hailey Marie Bennett and Santino Cauthen and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Sammie Lee Williams; his sisters, Cynthia Williams and Sandra Gilbert; his brother-in-law, Alex Fair Jr.; and his longtime companion, Juanita Cunningham.
King David Williams’ legacy of faith, strength, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
