Lamargo J. McGriff

Ms. Lamargo Jerea Jeneka McGriff, age 44, entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2026. She was born on August 18, 1981, and was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, family member, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lamargo was the daughter of Mr. Jerry R. Peay and the late Jennifer V. Hood Peay. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donnie McGriff; her brother, Jermaine Peay; and her grandparents, J.C. & Q.T. Peay and James & Margrett Hood.

A member of the Holy Church of Christ, Lamargo loved the Lord and treasured the time she spent with family and friends. Her warm spirit, loving heart, and joyful presence touched many lives. She found happiness in being surrounded by those she loved most, creating memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving father, Jerry R. Peay of Lancaster, South Carolina; three sisters, Jermesha Peay and Jiesha Price (Theokarya), both of Lancaster, South Carolina, and JaBoa Barber (Javarious) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two brothers, Jerry Peay Jr. (LaToya) of Lancaster, South Carolina, and JaPa Peay (Lauren); along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that another spirit has taken flight. Lamargo’s love, kindness, and beautiful memories will continue to live on in all who knew her.
