LEE AUTRY ANTHONY
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

Lee Autry Anthony, humbly bowed to God’s will and entered into eternal rest on
Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at MUSC in Lancaster, SC. A son of the late Robert
Lee Anthony and the late Irene Hammond Anthony was born August 3, 1955 in
Lancaster, SC.
Lee was converted at an early age and was raised in a Christian environment and was a
member of Mt Calvary AME Zion Church in Lancaster, SC.
He was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a 1973 graduate of
Lancaster High School. He retired from the Army National Guard and was employed
by Bowater in which he was a faithful employee until retirement.
Lee embraced life and enjoyed camping at Myrtle Beach, Springs Park and Mt. Carmel
Camp Meeting, in his leisure he washed cars of which he kept his car in immolate
condition. He loved watching Gunsmoke on television and lifting weights as a past time.
He had a beautiful personality and was always high spirited. However, his passion was
loving his family and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. To know him was to love
him and he was loved by many.
