Lessie "Benchay" Williams

Lessie “Benchay” Williams, 72, of Lancaster, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on January 17, 2026.  She was born on December 16, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Ben C. Collins and Mardree B. Collins.

She was the devoted mother of Jessica Moye (Brandon) and a proud and loving grandmother to Bency and Major, who brought light and joy to her life.  She shared a meaningful part of her life with Ronnie L. Williams, the father of her beloved daughter.

Benchay dedicated many years of her life to educating and guiding students in the Lancaster County School District, leaving a lasting impression on countless young lives.

She fought the good fight with courage and grace, and her legacy of love will live on in the heart of all who knew her,
