Lillie Mae Tunson Johnson

Lillie Mae Tunson Johnson, respectfully bowed to God’s will and quietly entered in to eternal rest on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Pruitt Health Hospital in Monroe, North Carolina.

She confessed her faith at an early age and was raised in a Christian environment.  She will be missed but not forgotten.

Lillie was the daughter of the late T.W. Tunson and the late Dorothy Jean Brewer Tunson was born on January16, 1948. She was married to Larry Johnson who preceded her in death.

Lillie was educated at Washington School in Rockford, Illinois.  She was a dedicated Homemaker and was a very outgoing spirited person who loved family and friends.  She embraced life and was very witty in her conversation.  She was very passionate about everything she did, she will be missed by many families and friends.

Left to cherish loving memories a son, SchanyeaJohnson (Keneshia) of Charlotte, NC, a daughter, Lezlie Carrion, (Cris) of Lancaster, SC, two sisters, Emma McCary (Ronald) of Conyers, GA, Ada Blankenship of Fairfield, CA, seven grandchildren, Andre Thomas, Christopher Carrion, Schanyea“Peanut” Johnson, Shamari “Money” Johnson, Kamden Johnson, Karter Johnson, Kingston Johnson, great granddaughter, Jasmine “Cocunut” Carrion, a niece, Kelli Bullard (Brian) three great nieces, KaSondra “Sand” McConnell, Kaprisha “Silvie” Ballard, Kiara “Grown Folk” Bullard.

 

She was preceded in death by a niece, Carla Blankenship, a great niece, Briana Blankenship.
