Linda Joyce Stevens, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024 at MUSC in Lancaster, SC, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and grace. Born on December I7, 1955 in Lancaster, SC to the late Ernest Javan Stevens Sr. and the late Doris Clyburn. Linda brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.
She was reared in a Christian home and was educated in the Lancaster County School District and was a 1974 graduate of Lancaster High School.
She was retired from Davis Dry Cleaners, KFC and Springs Industries.
Linda had a passion for beauty and creativity, which she expressed through styling her hair, cooking delicious meals, and planting vibrant flowers that brightened her surroundings. An avid reader, she found joy in the written word, often seeking inspiration and comfort from her books. Above all, Linda deeply cherished her family, pouring love and care into their lives and leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Natasha Stevens of Lancaster, SC, two sisters, Sandra Davis of Columbia, SC, Carolyn Stevens of Sumter, SC, three brothers, Joe Nathan Stevens (Jean), Ernest Jaran Stevens Jr., Rev.
Thomas Gary Stevens (Blondale) all of Lancaster, SC, four grandchildren, Sheikima Tashay Blair, Ny'Keeluhn Quantice Drakeford, Germius Shiwunn Stevens, Shiquan Ty Keyell Stevens all of Lancaster; SC, one great grandchild, Journee Kaharie Stevens of York, SC, special friend, Valerie Massey of Charlotte, NC, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends who will dearly miss her kindness and gentle spirit.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gerel Roscoe Stevens, a brother, Walter Clyburn Sir, three sisters, Christine Stevens, Helen Patricia Stevens, Melvina Stevens
