Funeral service was held Saturday, July 27 at 11:00 AM First Washington Baptist Church the Rev. Dr. Louis Forsythe II officiated. Burial will be Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11: 00 AM, Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.

Left to cherish his loving memories, are his devoted wife of Detroit, MI, three sons, Bennie Christopher McGriff of California, Craig Fulton McGriff of Arlington, TX, Ronald Richard McGriff of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Dr. LeAnne V. McGriff of Charlotte, NC, Leslie McGowan of Cleveland, OH , two brothers , Robert Lee McGriff Jr. of Chicago, IL and Charles Henry McGriff , Killeen, TX., step brother, Patrick Duncan, step sister, Patricia Crawford of Orangeburg, SC , two grandchildren.
