Margaret Sylvia Grier Boyd, 88, of Lancaster, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to her family and community. She was born April 13, 1936 to the late Andy Grier and the late Rosa Lee Jones and was a devoted member of Red Hill Baptist Church.
A woman of strong faith, Margaret served in many capacities within her church. She was a dedicated member of the Usher Board, the Choir, the Missionary Board, and the Pastor's Aid. She also held the esteemed position of President of the Senior Choir, where her love for gospel music shined brightly.
Margaret found great joy in cooking, singing gospel songs, and spending time with her beloved family. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, always ensuring that those around her felt loved and cared for.
She dedicated many years to Springs Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor. Her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence led her to establish her own business, Boyd's Cleaning Service.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Janice Culp of Columbia, SC, and Crystal Culp of Lancaster, SC; a son, Michael Grier of Tacoma, WA; a brother, Frank Mingo (Mandalynn) of Lancaster, SC; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Emma Jane Stroman.
