Mother Marie Fitzpatrick Lindsey, departed this life on October 10, 2024 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
Born on October 17, 1932, to the late Fletcher and Anna Mae Fitzpatrick in Montrose, Georgia, she embodied a life of love, faith, and service.
Mother Lindsey moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, as a young adult, where she met and married her late husband, Solomon Robinson, Sr. After his passing, she found companionship with Lindbergh Lindsey, who also preceded her in death. Four sisters, Katie Bent, Idella Lindsey, Urneeda Surry and Alberta Fitzpatrick, and one son, Alphonse Robinson, also preceded her in death.
Mother Lindsey was employed at JFK Hospital in the Central Supply Unit, until her retirement. She then moved to Lancaster, SC where she lived until her passing.
Mother Lindsey had a love for God, her family and her church family. She loved being around family and attending church. In her younger years she taught Children's Church in the Church of God in Christ for several years. Upon her arrival to Lancaster she continued to help teach Children's Church, until she became the Church Mother at Kingdom Embassy of Lancaster, SC. She would still contribute to the youth by providing educational material for the teachers.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Vijia Janet Robinson Griffin, of the home. Four sons, Fletcher "Bobby" (Claudia) Fitzpatrick of Danville, Georgia, Zebedee Lindsey, of Boynton Beach, FL, Alton (Shalonda) Robinson, of Bradenton, FL, and Solomon Robinson, Jr., Boynton Beach FL. One very "special son" Travis (Tameka) Robinson, Sr., of Royal Palm Beach, FL. One brother-in-law, Peter Robinson.
Mother Lindsey's legacy of love extends to her 25 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless other family members and friends, her niece, Jeanette Fitzpatrick, and her
"special daughter" Barbara Ann Griffin.
Her love for family and church was boundless, and her warm spirit will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her. In honoring her life, we celebrate the profound impact she had on her family
and community.
