Mrs. Mildred Alice Logans Shropshire peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 26, 2026, in Lancaster, South Carolina. Born on November 7, 1931, she was the beloved daughter of the late Andy Logans and the late Flossie Mae McIlwain Logans.
Mrs. Shropshire was married to the late EddieJames Shropshire.
Mildred was a woman of Baptist faith who loved the Lord. Kind in spirit yet strong in faith, she lived as a resilient and devoted lady whose life reflected grace, perseverance, and unwavering belief. She was educated in the Lancaster County Schools and, in her later years, enjoyed a peaceful and well-deserved retirement.
Mildred found great joy in cooking and was especially talented in the kitchen, blessing her family and friends with meals prepared with love. She also enjoyed bowling, one of her favorite pastimes. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends—moments that became her most treasured memories.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted daughter, Vanessa Shropshire Ivey of Lancaster, SC; three grandchildren, AshakiMitchell (Steve) of Maryland, Kimioshi Ivey-Vallejos (Larry) of Lancaster, SC, and Persus Ivey of Lancaster, SC; fourteen great-grandchildren, Ky'miah, Eason, Bauer, Sasha, Ronin, Sagan, Ontavious, Demonte, Raperjus, Persius, Perjeonna, Kumari, Brielle, and Ariel; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flossie Mae McIlwain Logans and Andy Logans; her brother, an infant; her son, James Andrew Shropshire; her grandson, Atiba D. Shropshire; and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cook Shropshire.
Mildred’s life was a testament to faith, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
