Nathan DeMart Lineberger, 57, entered eternal rest on September 24, 2024. Born in Chester County, on November 22, 1966, he was the beloved son of the late Marion Sims Lineberger and the late Annie Cather Gaston and Earl Crockett.
Nathan was a proud graduate of Lewisville High School, class of 1985, and later earned an associate degree from Spartanburg Methodist College. He was employed at Walmart Distribution Center as a forklift operator.
Nathan was united in marriage to Tabitha Trapps andwas a devoted husband and friend. He was a member of Mt. Vernon AME Zion Church, where he served faithfully on the Men’s Choir, Trustee Board, Usher Board, as the Treasurer for the Men’s Ministry, and was a vital part of the culinary staff. He was a United States Army Veteran having served this country with honor and dignity.
His love for community and service extended beyond the church. He enjoyed serving as an umpire for baseball and a referee for basketball games. Known for his competitive spirit in playing spades, his mastery at the grill, and his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys, Nathan brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.
Left to cherish fond memories are his loving wife, Tabitha Trapps Lineberger; one son, Kendrick (Ashley) Trapps of Little Rock, AR; one daughter, Chantavia Shelton of Anchorage, AK; five brothers, Timothy Lineberger of Lancaster, SC, Clifford (Holly) Crockett and O’Henry (Barbara) Robinson, both of Rock Hill, SC, Travis Crockett of Fort Lawn, SC, and Eddie (Roxanne) Crockett of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Exzedra (Richard) Smith of McConnells, SC, and Robin Crockett of Great Falls, SC; and two cherished grandchildren. Nathan will also be remembered by his mother-in-law, Daisy Trapps, and brother-in-law, Donald Johnson of Fort Lawn, SC, along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald Lineberger, a sister, Amy Johnson, and his father-in-law, L.C. Trapps.
