Pamela Evon Hood

Mrs. Pamela Evon Hood Clyburn, the daughter of the late Ms. Margaret Lue Hood and the late Mr. Bennie Ross, was born on March 28, 1963, in Lancaster, South Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on October 13, 2025, at Agape Lexington Hospice House in Lexington, South Carolina.

Pamela received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor AME Zion Church. She served diligently in several church ministries, including the Stewardess Board, Missionary Department, Home Mission Workers, and the Senior Usher Board. She also worked faithfully for many years on the Kitchen Committee. Pamela was always willing to go above and beyond in any task she was given, serving the Lord and her church family with love and dedication.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Gerald Clyburn, and together they shared a beautiful life rooted in love and family. Pamela enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. whom she adored deeply.

Left to cherish her loving memories are two sons, DeCarlos Hood (Shawnta) and DeLarious Hood, both of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Dennis Neal Hood (Annie Mac) of Lancaster, SC; three half-sisters, Pam, June, and Trish; half-brother, John, seven beloved grandchildren; special friends, Mrs. Brenda Brown White, Gwen, and Peaches; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ree Benson and brother, Aaron Ross.

Pamela will be remembered for her kind spirit, her faith in God, and her willingness 1o serve others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
