Pastor Corrina Denise Curry

Pastor Corrina Denise Thompson Curry, humbly bowed to God’s will and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 3, 2024 at MUSC Lancaster.  A daughter of the late Molly Thompson and the late Rence Hinson was born February 9, 1942 in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Pastor Corrina Curry was reared in a Christian environment and accepted Christ as her personal savior.  She pastored Christ Temple of Faith in Lancaster, SC.  She was a devoted lady of God.

She was married for many years to John Sonny Curry who preceded her in death.

Corrina as she was affectionally called was educated in the Lancaster County School District and attended Hillside High School. She was employed with Springs Industry and retired as a Manufacturing Seamstress.

She was a passionate woman, kind yet strong willed.  She loved the Lord and enjoyed her church family.  Corrina loved staying in shape and walking was her outlet.  However, her greatest passion was spending time with family and friends.  To know her was to love her and she will be missed by all.

Left to cherish loving memories are four daughters, Gigie Parker (Charles Anthony) of Lancaster SC, Kathy Curry Grant of Midland, GA, Teresa Curry Coleman (Kenrick Coleman) of Lancaster, SC, Brendetta Richardson  (Ledell) of Lancaster, SC, one son, Deleon Curry (Shanel) of Lancaster, SC, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three special cousins that grew up with her as siblings, Martha Nelson, Lucille Robertson, Pickette Massey,  special friend, Shell and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by many brothers and sister
