Patsy Bufford Mackey was born March 19, 1937 to Boysie and Edna Rutledge Bufford. She departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Sunday November 20, 2022.
Patsy confessed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Heath Springs SC. Patsy was united in holy matrimony to Walter James Mackey who preceded her in death.
Patsy was active at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, she loved being a Missionary and singing with the Gospel Crusaders Choir.
Patsy later moved her membership to United Bible Way Church, Lancaster SC, as one of the founding members. Patsy remained faithful to served as a Missionary.
Patsy was educated in the Lancaster County School System, and attended Hillside High School.
Patsy embraced life and enjoyed being a beloved mother and grandmother caring for her children.
Patsy loved baseball the Atlanta Braves, and to bake cakes and cook.
Patsy was passionate about family and was a devoted caregiver for several of her siblings and her father, who all preceded her in death, Patsy was the last button on Job’s coat. Patsy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish these and other memories are four daughters Renee B. Marrow (Roy) of Lancaster SC, Priscilla Bufford of Lancaster SC, Cathy B. Montgomery Rock Hill SC, Kenja M. Ward ( Damien ) Rock Hill SC. Yasmine Mackey who preceded her in death. Five sons Dennis Bufford (Andreana) of Lancaster SC, Christopher Mackey ( Angela ) of Lancaster SC, Marty Mackey of Rock Hill SC, Marcus Mackey Lancaster SC and Mario Belk (Steffanie) of Fort Eustis VA. Twenty -eight grandchildren, four grandsons preceded her in death. Twenty- six great grandchildren and one great - grand-daughter preceded her in death.
