Rev. Andrew Chambers, 77, was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion.
Born on January 27, 1948, he was the beloved son of the late Christine Chambers and the late James Andrew Phillips. A man of unwavering faith, he dedicated his life to serving God and spreading His word.
Rev. Chambers was united in holy matrimony to Rev. Karen McIllwain Chambers, with whom he shared a bond rooted in love, faith, and commitment. As a devoted servant of the Lord, he was an active member and Associate Pastor of Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church in Wadesboro, NC. He was active with the church choir, a proud participant of the CYNT Choir, and a member of the Swanee Quartet of Pageland, SC using his voice to uplift and inspire those around him. Rev. Chambers was also the former Pastor of Forestville AME Zion Church in Lilesville, NC.
Beyond his ministry, Rev. Chambers found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, singing, and spending quality time with his cherished family. His presence brought warmth, wisdom, and encouragement to all who had the blessing of knowing him.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to God will forever remain an inspiration to his family, friends, and congregation.
