Rev. Franklin D."Frank" Truesdale, a devoted man of God, loving family member,
and friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 at the age of 79.
Born on July 14, 1945 to the late Ezell Truesdale and the late Maggie Mungo in
Chesterfield, SC, Frank dedicated his life to faith, hard work, and the joy of life & #39
simple pleasures.
Frank served faithfully as an associate pastor under Rev. Dr. Waldo Robinson at
First Kershaw Baptist Church and was Ordained into the Ministry on March 6,
1996 spreading the Word of God with compassion and wisdom. He also served as
Past Vice Moderator of the Mt. Peaceful Baptist Association. His heartfelt sermons
and guidance touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of spiritual strength and
encouragement. He graduated from Metroliner Extension Seminary Program,
Charlotte, NC.
In addition to his ministry, Frank was an Army Veteran having served in the Viet
Nam Conflict. Frank was a talented chimney sweeper whose skills were known
and appreciated throughout the community. His dedication to his work exemplified
his commitment to excellence in every endeavor.
Frank was united in holy matrimony to Willie Emily Duncan Truesdale for many
blissful years.
Frank found joy in the beauty of God & #39 creation. He loved fishing in peaceful
waters, tending to his garden with care, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
These activities brought him peace and happiness, often shared with family and
friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Willie Emily Truesdale of Lancaster, SC, four
sisters, Mattie Mingo (Hazel) of Lancaster, SC, Elaine Jackson (Otto) of Palm Bay,
FL, Diannie Porter, Carlethia Ingram both of Lancaster, SC, two brothers, Cefus
Truesdale (Annie Lee) of Jefferson, SC, Curtis Truesdale (Janie) of Lancaster, SC,
eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren along
with a host of extended relatives, church family, and dear friends.
Frank was preceded in death by a daughter, Frannie Ross
Rev. Franklin D. "Frank" Truesdale’s life was a testament to his faith, kindness,
and passion for living. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the
privilege of knowing him. May he rest in the eternal peace of the Lord.
