Romenia E. Moore, 86, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday February 24, 2025. Born to the late Norman Evans and the late Anner Bell Harrison, she was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community.
Romenia was united in holy matrimony to the late Alton Moore, and together they built a home filled with faith, love, and warmth. As a lifelong member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, she dedicated herself to serving the Lord in many capacities. She was a deaconess, a valued member of the Pastor's Support Committee, and a faithful voice in both the Hymn Choir and Gospel Choir. Her passion for ministry extended through her work with the Missionary Society, where she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.
A gifted cook, Romenia expressed her love through the meals she prepared, bringing joy and comfort to family and friends. She also had a passion for playing solitaire, finding peace in quiet moments of reflection.
Above all, she cherished serving her family and had a special place in her heart for caring for children. As a dedicated housewife and caregiver, she opened her home to many, nurturing and guiding young lives with patience and love.
Her legacy of faith, service, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she has departed from this life, her spirit remains a guiding light to all who were blessed to share in her journey.
Rest in peace, Romenia. Your love and faith will forever shine in our hearts.
